I love reading all the posts about different Alembics, especially guitars, that I don't have the fortune of owning. There are a couple things about my Orion that I wish could be better that I suspect have been addressed in other models with respect to the electronics.

But it strikes me that the thing I like most about my guitar is something that all Alembics have in common, the neck. It is truly a work of art. Playing for me is very organic, everything has to feel and sound right or it's just not happening. I don't have to worry about the feel part anymore. It's perfect. I'll never understand how guitarists can switch from guitar to guitar between songs. Different scale lengths, different fits. I would feel like a fish on the beach.

And the sounds you can coax out of that neck are incredible. Do you find yourself, as I do, playing your Alembic for hours without even plugging it in?

I plug a sent of headphones straight into my MK and I get an unadulterated sound of the BASS itself. No amp or eq's to alter the sound. I had to replace the jack on the headphones with a mono jack. It's not very loud but you can hear pretty good.
