Model Names for Alembic basses

I have an Essence 5, and to me, the name makes perfect sense. The electronics, build quality, etc., all say to me that the name reflects the 'essence' of an Alembic bass (at least that's how I think of it). Any info would be appreciated - I really like the various names, and think it would be interesting to hear about their genesis.
