the other night i was at my usual tuesday jam session, and I had brought along my S1 like i usually do, but I also brought along my 72 jazz bass since it had just been sitting in its case for the past 6 months and was probably a little lonely... After one tune with the jazz bass, I was ready to switch back to my alembic when i was asked to keep it out and play the rest of the night with it...fine with me, since I do like it and hadnt played it for awhile.. The next day I went to get my series one from the case, and to my surprise the pickup selector switch was missing! Pretty strange considering it had not felt loose recently, and that I had only taken the bass out the night before to tune it up than I put it back....it was out for about 3 minutes max.... Maybe she was jealous because I played the jazz bass all night and decided to punish me by making me pay sixteen bucks for a new switch!!!! By the way, the jazz bass did sound awesome....but dont tell my alembic I said that! |

heh heh..interesting! I too have an S1 and a "reissue" Jazz, but my J has Alembic Activators...so all is good in the world you can get another stock knob from the good folks at Alembic. |

So, someone says "no, don't take out your Alembic, leave it in the case and play your Fender all night". Then, when you get home and open your Alembic case, a knob, which you are sure had been there the last time you played it, is missing. Sounds a little suspicious to me. Bill, tgo |

Go ahead and send the knob back back, Greg. I mailed it yesterday, but didn't charge your card yet. Glad to hear your original was recovered. |
