Hey everyone. I have not posted for a while, it's good to be back.

I purchased a Skylark from a board member about a Year or so ago (Thanks Kevin!!!) and there is just no other guitar like it!! It made me want more.

as luck would have it, I am going to be in Las Vegas next week on business, and was planning to stop by Ed Roman guitars to check out the Further's on their site. I am 90% sure I will come home with one of them.

Has anyone dealt with this store before? I was planning on calling ahead to let them know my purpose in showing up and was wondering if that's a bad idea.

Thanks to everyone, I love Alembic, it's history, and it's sound!

Wow. Ed Roman. You might want to search his name on this site and http://www.vintagebass.com/thedudepit/. You can judge for yourself.

Hi Roger; yes I lot of club members have reported on experiences and/or have opinions about this store. You may want to run a search of this site on "Ed Roman"; I'm guessing you'll find a number of past threads that might be helpful.

Roger..you might try a search on the list, there have been past disscussions about Ed Roman..something less than glowing reviews.
I just got several errors trying the search, looks like server problems.

Roger - I live in Las Vegas and have been to Ed Roman Guitars many times. Ed is most definitely a unique character and his store is actually pretty amazing. My experiences with Ed Roman have been generally positive. His store is not your friendly neighborhood music store - it's also not a Guitar Center. The employees that I've met and dealt with are serious, knowledgeable, and helpful. Ed may try to convince you that you need one of his own Quicksilver guitars and you may get the tour of his workshop. He is not shy about voicing his opinions and that bothers some people.

I think calling ahead is probably not a bad idea. Good luck.

I've dealt with Ed before.

He is a trip....brash, opinionated and aggressive like the New Yorker he is.

However, he REALLY knows his stuff, and I really doubt that any store anywhere has a more amazing collection of beautifully built guitars.

Go for the show, enjoy the act, and buy a Further!
