So here I sit. It is a wensday afternoon in sunny Cranbrook BC. I go to the UPS website and discover that my new Alembic Skylark is located somewhere in Kansas and on it's way here. I can only think of how lonely she must be. She is all alone in a case, in a box, in a bigger box that is located on wheels. There is no doubt she feels neglected, and to remedy this, I can only wait until she is in my hands, letting her smooth tones jump from my amplifier as I continue to smile from ear to ear. But this is mearly a dream right now, as she is in Kansas. Don't worry, you will be home soon. In shorter words, I am pumped! (sorry for being so dramatic, its just one of those days, and I am quite excited ) |

What did you end up doing? At one point you were considering a custom order with Zebrawood and Further electronics; but later you were looking for a used Skylark. |

I opted to leave the further electronics in a further, heh. I went with a new (gasp!) skylark with a cocobolo top, nearest neighbor backplates and some leds. I think I'll invest into a custom further a few years down the road, so as to get the electronics, as well as the neck through body design and all else that I enjoy. In the end, I found one with all that I'm looking for presently, so I hopped on it. Photos will follow, of course. |
