Hi All,
I hope all is well with you.
Will there be no Featured Custom displayed this month as there is still the May one showing up?
Many greetings

My vacation was unkind to the Featured Custom, but it will be published shortly, very likely later today.

Stay tuned...

I thought Alembird status was a bit much for Pele. :-)

With all due respect to the June custom, the extended run was appreciated.

Thanks again to everyone.

Yep,
I was hoping but maybe the bass is not spectacular enough.
BTW Mica, any chance to see some more pics on my bass?
Many thanks

Congratulations Ken,
Your Gwathnar is a real beauty and reminds me how much I like spalted maple. Enjoy in good health!

Oliver, your bass is spectacular enough, but the instrument has to be in the owner's possession to qualify for custom of the month. So, until you get it, you won't be in the running.

Way to go Ken. I've been following your build as you know and I'm really pleased that Gwathnar got COTM. It really is a spectacular example.

Ken,
Congrats. Looks great. As I said in your FTC thread it was seeing your wood that sealed my decision to go with spalted maple for my own bass.

Thanks, all.

I can't spend alot of time right now, but I think a HUGE thank you should go out to the fine craftspeople at Alembic for delivering such quality and artistic beauty and still putting up with my constant interruptions during the process.

Ken, teo:

Congrats on COTM honors! Well deserved. I remember back when this one was merely a plank of wood labeled "Space Invaders" (nyuk, nyuk). My, how it's has grown up. Play in good health!

COTM wasn't always about outrageously wild and spectacular, Oliver. Sometimes the chosen instrument has been about classic style or a new shape or feature that should be highlighted. Sometimes it's about the story. I think that a fair percentage of the instruments that run through the FTC threads could be up there.

Great choice this month....err...half month... :-)

Well, Paul, you were right at the Mahyiten part, but I think the dialect is making the rest a little rambling.
