I realize that Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith does not use Alembic but I had to post this anyway. I live in Massachusetts less than ten miuntes from several members of Aerosmith. Last week, Victoria Wightman, the 16 year old daughter of Donald Wightman (Chief of security and tour coordinator for Aerosmith) was killed in a car accident. This took place less than 5 miles from my home. The 17 year old driver of the other vehicle is facing charges. I occasionally see members of the band at malls, movies, restaurants, etc and have gotten to know some of them very well. Recently, there have been numerous traffic fatalities involving teenage drivers in Massachusetts. There has been a push by some to increase the minimum driving age and to require more formal training prior to getting a license. Recently, the Massachusetts legislature killed a bill which would address these issues. As the parent of a 17 year old I am hoping that the members of Aersomith can get behind these changes. I am also hoping that musicians everywhere will post their condolences on various websites and blogs which they belong to and that the webmasters will forward those comments to the members of what has been called America's Greatest Rock Band.
Thank You

I'll add my condolences to Donald Wightman and the Aerosmith family. I can't imagine the feeling of losing a daughter so young. My prayers are with you all.

Sorry to heat that.

FWIW, In my other life, I am an Nationally-certified, NJ State-Licensed Motorcycle License Examiner and Instructor. As such, I am endeavoring to promote awareness and safety education with regards to street M/C usage amongst riders and the motoring public-at-large. It is an uphill battle! Education of the public is the key and I'm trying to do my part to keep people alive and safe on America's roads. If additionally legislation is required to do likewise, then I'm all for it.

Godspeed!

Please forward my deepest concolences to the entire Wightman family and friends. I will add them to my prayers.
Tom was one on the reasons I purchased a Music Man bass years ago. I had seen him play one and loved the tone he got.
