Hi, What is the difference between the Standard narrow spacing and the Wide spacing option? Is wide spacing standard J bass spacing (which i think is 19mm) - Tom |

Wide is 19mm at the bridge. Narrow is 17mm, and I think classic is 17mm at both the bridge and the nut. You can specify the spacing when you order - on neck-throughs I think it's a free option. |

alembic will pretty much tailor the neck to your liking if you tell them the spacing, scale and the nut width mica can give you the details i did this on my direwolf which is 1.75 nut- 32 scale and .500 speacing- my width at the bridge is just shy of 2.5 inches |

I like the wide option, its not really "wide" but more like a "standard" spacing (think J bass), still very comfortable, no stetching. with that said... If I were to order one today though I believe i would still go with there narrow spacing and a smaller scale length (32in) The Brown Bass I had ... I really liked the string spacing but was not too fond of the 30 inch scale. - Tom |

I can confirm Flax's post that Alembic will do what you want. My favorite neck is on my '61 Strat, so I brought it up to Santa Rosa and they copied it for my in progress custom Further (maybe that should be the name of the guitar: "In Progress") LOL Bill, tgo |
