Short scale serie 1

A lot of folks don't like the way the small standard body balances, and a lot of folks do. Many of those that do report that they position their right arm on the body and that it holds the bass in place no problem. In that configuration, they're great. I can remove my hands and bow without the neck going all over the place. I do play the bass up a little higher than a Fender style bass but not so much that I'm choking myself. I will say that the bass does sit differently than a Fender style so the reach on a short or medium scale will feel more like a long scale. This doesn't bother me at all. In fact I plan my next bass to be another short scale with small body.
