To continue our conversation about smaller bodied Spoilers ...

Here's one posted a while ago in the Showcase section:

And here's another one that I found on the web:
3/4 size

It's not terribly obvious, but the jack is much closer to the edhe of the body than on regular Spoilers.

What's the difference between a 3/4 and a full size Spoiler?
I've had an '83 Spoiler (83S2433) The body was 1 inch shorter than my current Spoilers (see my profile) I think that's just a slight variation, certainly not a 1/4 reduction of the bodysize.
I don't see any differences between this bass and my basses (in the bodyshape that is) So would they also be 3/4? And are there pictures here of 1/1 Spoilers?

According to http://www.alembic.com/support/reference.html, the serial number on a "Spoiler-3/4 body" has the initial "R" (may well be the reason why the Rogue has "X").

I've been looking out for smaller Spoilers, and the second one on this thread certainly LOOKS smaller.

But the longer I look at these, the more I start to wonder if they are full-size.

Okay - does any one have a picture of a Spoiler with the R initial?

The second one does look smaller, the horns look longer (could be the angle of the pic) but also the body doesn't look as 'fat'as the others, like a Spoiler that's been on a diet...

Adriaan,
Thank you very much for your time and infos.I once had a 5string Spoiler with a wide spacing. And its damn heavy,I dont know why its so heavy, even heavier than my 6str Persuader.
I am thinking of a custom body Essence, with a longer upper horn, and the body width is what I am still uncertain of.I think between 35 and 37cm should be the best for both sitting and standing position.I am still experimenting.
Thanks again.
Regards.

The six string Essence body has a longer upper horn than the regular Essence body.
