What Wood Is This?

However, after looking at your picture, I think it might actually be Cocobolo. I'm 95% sure it's one or the other. Adrian's right about posting the serial number in the request section. Though my experience is that you will have an answer in a matter of days rather than a couple of weeks. Either way, a very pretty bass. Now it's wait and see time. Thanks Bill for the compliment. I like this bass a lot but I haven't had the chance to play it very much since I no longer play bass in the band. I have been playing pedal steel for quite a while now. I do miss it every now and then. Sometime I think I will sell it but when somebody gets interested, I start having second thoughts. Its bought and paid for now, I guess I ought to hang on to it.
