Hi Alembic Club,

Stanley Clarke needs a 5-pin cable in Milan for a show tomorrow night. I can send one today, but it won't arrive any sooner than 2 days. So I'd like to see if any Club members are willing to surrender their cable for this emergency. I'll be willing to replace yours with a new one a few days later. Stanley's manager can arrange for you to see the show if you can help.

I'd have Valentino do it, but he was already on the plane :-(

Please contact me if you can help.

Grazie!

I believe it's going ot take someone in the area (Milan) to get it to Stanley by tomorrow. I'd send mine in a heart beat but I don't believe it would get there any sooner than the one you have Mica.

Anybody in Europe could get it there with an overnight shipment. I'm sure that someone will step up and take care of Mr Clarke!

It's already pretty late in Europe. We're going to need a same day delivery on Tuesday I think. If anyone knows a Milan cable maker, I can send instructions for whippin' one up.

I tried all the super-fast services I could find, and the quickest I could come up with was Wednesday early morning, and a $700 bill.

Worst case, he may run off of batteries for one show, but it will go on.

Mica, if Stanley ever come to London, tell him that'll invite him for slice, no joke. These are pure Sicilian hand made...

HOOOLY S**T !

I just happen to read this a few minutes ago. If this problem has not been resolved successfully, I am standby. It will not be easy to get a cable to Milano, but it's 11:00am here in Germany and it is not yet impossible. And it will not be cheap...

After researching all shipping possibilities, the earliest arrivals from FRA to Milano-Palpensa is 17:55 and to Milano-Linate is 18:15. Both flights may be too late when Stanley starts his show at 20:00, so... game over on this occasion. Sorry, but of course I keep my fingers crossed for his show tonight !

Glad to report that a good friend took a train from Switzerland to get the cable to Stanley. Arrived in plenty of time for the show.

That is great! Wouldn't it be cool to have been in the position to loan Stanley a cable!
