Can't go wrong with a red bass (!!). This is an exceptional Elan, rare with the triple-ply purpleheart neck instead of the usual pinstripe. If I didn't have a very jealous red five-string already, this one would e been mine weeks ago. J o e y | ||

Thanks for the heads - up. I've made an offer, but they won't seem to budge on the price! Sorry, as much as I like the ELAN, $2499 is too much for my budget and timeframe. peace Chris | ||

Chris, I was speaking to Tim at BassNW today. Aparantly just after you had left. Sorry I missed you. The new price is very reasonable, but still reaching for my budget. If you don't have any other bites and are willing to sell the bass to someone who will take care of it and play it with pride I would like to make you an offer. Let's say $1700.00. I'll pay for the shipping from BassNW too. I do admire the bass, just wish I was on the west coast to have a look. Yeah, I'm on the east coast - in New Jersey outside of Philadelphia. It's near impossible to get this quality instrument here. I currently have three Elans, all four strings. Unfortunately I had a 5 string, but let her go...dumbass! Thanks for the posting.
