Holy Cow! Mark, I hope this was as great a surprise for you as it was for the rest of us!

What a beautiful instrument!

Congrats!

Beautiful Guitar, Mark! Congratulations. I really love Bird's-eye Maple and yours has an amazing top. Very classy inlays, as well.

Peace

Woohoo, what a surprise. Thanks for the good vibes guys.

I still get a real buzz every time I open the case to play her (most every day!) and my playing has improved hugely. She's instilled me with the confidence to not have to look at my hands all the time. I'm also pleased to say Patience has been utterly stable; I haven't needed to touch the truss rods yet.

Thanks once more to all at Alembic for building this stunning guitar for me.

The lightning bolt looks as though it's coming from the Alembic cloud. Cool!

Mark:

Congrats on COTM! Of course I am admittedly partial to Furthers and can certainly empathize with having to wait (I'm coming up on two years for my yet-to-be-finished Further). It's comforting to hear how much you enjoy playing this absolutely gorgeous instrument. And, as some around here may suspect, I really like the inlay!

I sympathise for your exceptionally long wait Bill, you don't need me to tell you it'll be worth it! At least you have your Electrum and Series I to console you.

George:

Isn't it great being one of the few discerning people here in the UK who know Alembics are the best there is!

Way to go Mark. COTM for an Englishman!!! Remembering all the difficulties with the build, I'm glad Alembic have seen fit to give you an accurate write up. One of these days when I'm heading to northallerton (or beyond) I'll have to drop in. I've yet to hear an Alembic guitar in the flesh.

Congrats, Mark, on a beauty of a guitar!

Bill, I thought I had it bad at 20 months, but two years?! Well, it's always worth the wait for one of these special instruments.

In some jurisdictions they would consider this guitar drug paraphernalia. Its like a gang tattoo. I bet it plays like a dream, and I rarely dream.
