Hello Friends ,

...i just tried those strings( black beauties coated ) and noticed they were a bit stiffer than others like nickel low-riders for example . Also , i often have to re-tune because they seem to go " too high " ...instead of " too low " as many strings do . It's the first time i have to lower the tension to tune correctly . Is this normal ? May be the neck is moving with the tension ...any comment ?

Thanks

ALAIN

I haven't noticed any tensions issues with Black Beauties - but playing with a coated string seemed a little strange at first. Also the black seems to come off fairly quickly.

Hi David ,

Thank's for your comment ! I put my strings yesterday , a few hours before a show . Today , it seems to be normal , i just checked 2 minutes ago . Regarding the coated strings , it takes a little time to get used to them , and the black color is also special . On the other hand , i really love that crunchy sound i get out of them with my series 2 ...i really hope they're going to sound great at least one month !!! :-)))

Thank's David

ALAIN
