Anyone.
I have an Ampeg SVT 3 Pro about 8 years old. The fan motor has always made a little noise but is getting louder. Is this a problem? It is not interfearing but is a bit iratating.

First you should see if there is some sort of obstruction in the fan. If there is none, a replacement fan is easy to find and install yourself if you are handy. Just google “computer fan” and you will find many links. The repair should cost you less than $20.

To replace the fan on a 3 Pro you have to pull the main board, which I don't recommend as a first tech project. You can pull the top and check the blades to see if there's a lot of dust on them, which can unbalance the fan. If there is, judicious use of compressed air and a brush can be used to remove it *ever so carefully*.
