Just got off the phone with Kim Shomaker of Shomaker guitars. He is very positive on having A gathering at his store and will work with us on a schedule. He is located in Burlington,N.C. He is also An Alembic dealer. No need to haul amps,he has monster's on site. Prefers saturday date,10am till whenever.I am available anytime we just need to work things out with others. We must have Moder Dave present.

I'd be game. I am open on location. Knowing that Dave lives on the other side of Asheville and some others live out that direction a more central location like Winston-Salem might be better.

Of course I wouldn't mind a good excuse to spend a weekend in Asheville either.

I would love to be involved. The next two months are pretty busy for work; and there's a lot of other stuff going on too. It would also be nice to find out when Alan will be back home and maybe schedule around him.

Thanks for the response. The reason I suggested Shomakers was his central location and the fact that he is the only alembic dealer in N.C.. He is also interested in a Alembic promotion for his store. The two Shomaker bros. are also working musicians and the store specializes in vintage instruments.
Winston Salem would work for me,maybe, any further probably not.As I do not travel long distance very well due to a heart condition.
I will however go with the flow of the majority and try my best to be there. Feel free to also contact me at my e-mail address in my profile.

Count me in. I'm an hour and a half from Asheville, and I could probably get to Burlington if that's the majority rule.

Me to. I'm about two hours from Burlington or Asheville so either place would be fine for me. I do like the idea of not having to haul amps though.

Gents,

If it's an Alembic gathering, count me in. However, I probably won't be back from Korea until the late spring, possibly early summer. Don't hold off on my account - do what you guys want to do, and I'll go the next one.

BTW, I played a gig last night, and two people approached me about my bass - one of them actually knew it was an Alembic (he owns a Spoiler). Amazing - first time that's ever happened.

Let's see if we can hold this off until Alan gets back. It just would'nt be right if he or any other NC forum member was'nt there.
