Hi Guys, Does anyone know why Alembic only put two screws in their pickups, when there seems to be 4 holes for screws?? Thanks guys keep it real Mike P |

That's a classic question, actually. On all Alembic original pickups there are two holes with screws on top, and two holes with screws underneath - just look through the 'empty' holes with enough light shining and you should see the screws. This way you don't need springs or foam padding to hold the pickups up against the screws on top, but you clamp the pickups between the screws on top and the screws below. Gotta be careful though: to lower a pickup, start by tightening the screws underneath, and after that tighten the screws on top - otherwise you WILL crack the housing. To lift a pickup, you start with the top screws, and so on. Get a very pointy screwdriver to get at the screws underneath, or remove the top screws, lift off the pickup and adjust the remaining screws. Good luck! |
