Hello! I try to repair old "power supply DS5" box unit. It's combination with Alembic-Bass Series I (-80). Transformer's primary has burned and I wonder is it original value? This has changed about 10 year ago. primary: 220V (0,38VA) secondary 2x15V How much current bass electronics needs? Is there schematics available? |

I also have an old DS5 that no longer works. I have been meaning to call and find out if it is worth trying to fix it or just invest on a new DS5R. |

Hi Arto, There should be an email response to your helpdesk inquiry about the transformer. If you didn't receive it, please let me know and I will resend it. Jorge, There's no charge to test the DS5 and see what's wrong with it. It's likely either the transformer or the thermal protector. The transformer is $65 installed, and the thermal protector is $35 installed. Email me if you're going to send it in and we'll get the bench time scheduled in advance for the fasted turnaround. |
