Hey Alembic Bros: I've been real busy these past months getting a European tour for this fall setup but I promised many moons ago to post some better pictures of my Series I Small Standard. Here she is in all her glory . . fresh from her yearly oiling and brass cleaning. . Enjoy. . .I've missed you guys. I'd like to hear from any of you what has been happening around here. Hey Dave: Thanks! Needless to say she is the light of my creative life. I was very fortunate to find her originally in 1974. And twice blessed to get her back years later in almost pristine condition. I'll never let her ago again! Jeff |

Hey My Alembic Bros: Thanks for all the nice comments! You guys are about the only people I can carry on with about Alembics. Everyone else thinks I'm a little crazy. I mean what sane man spends eight hours taking apart his brass bridge and cleaning each individual bridge piece? I try to explain to them it really NEEDED TO BE DONE! The bridge had never been "deep cleaned" in it's entire 32 year existence. And one of the great things about Alembics is the way the various woods age. . .my bass is a lot darker than when I bought it those many years ago in 1974. . . Great to hear from you all Keav. . get out the Watco and get on that puppy! You'll be glad you did. . .Kungfu. . I WILL be safe, thanks for saying that. . . and 811952, thanks for your comment! Looking forward to see Glass live on stage, and I hope perhaps near some Hatfield friends of yours. |
