If anyone out there knows someone who, or is interested in buying a Europa Custom 5 string, please help me out. It has a Buckeye Burl top, series I headstock/ with the Burl on front and back of the stock, 3 PH lamintes, Gold Hardware...Its Execellent. Built in 2004. Will come with HSC, papers, wrenches, strap locks. I have been relocated from New Orleans since Katrina, and my funds have dried up severely. I would appreciate getting a fair price for it and that would help to dry my tears as I hate to sell my baby. I do have faith that I will get back on my feet and when I do, I will order another just like this one. Please call at 504-914-6408(c) if anyone out there can help. I'd like to see 4.7-5.5k or anything better. I listed this bass on eBay with much regret. Please assist me in taking shutting down the listing selling it to a true Alembic Collector. Email me, and I'll send you some pics(musicmanstan@yahoo.com)
Best Regards,
Stan

Stanley, Things will get better for you. Have faith. You will be in my prayers. Things are pretty tight, economically speaking, here in Tenn., too.

Stan, I posted a response in your thread in "Introductions".

But I'll repeat part of it here.

If you must sell your bass, be advised that you'd be better off posting info in the "Swap Shop and Wish List" area (below "Introductions".)

This is normally where members post info regarding instruments that are for sale, and, conversely, where they look for it.

You'll have a better chance of catching prospective buyers attention if you post there... plus you can see what people are looking for, and look at other threads to get an idea of what people are willing to pay, and a realistic range for what you might hope/expect to get.

Good luck, Stan.

I really hate to hear this kind of stuff. Being a New Orleanian myself, it is heartbreaking. Katrina has affected soooooo many lives. It has definately changed mine! Things are way different here. Everything is so expensive, it is hard for everyone right now.

I will try to put the word out for your bass. I hope things turn around and you are able to keep it. If you do sell it, let the new owner know your situation. Perhaps you can buy it back when you are on your feet again!

I think we met a while back. I used to play in a band that rehearsed in Brian's room on Carrolton. I used your GK/Hartke setup.

Michael
