I cannot resist,

I must tell you guys that I just ease the pain of waiting for my Series II by treating myself/gearing up with Accugroove speaker cabs. And let me tell you, they just brought out a whole new sound from my Excel that I didn't know existed. Let's put it this way, I can finally here the true sound of my Excel and boy, it is awesome.

I am running them with my Ampeg SVT-2 pro all tube amp and let me tell you, it is the nicest cleanest sound I have heard in so long. The sweetness of the Ampeg is so much better with these cabs. They compliment each other so well.

Here's what I got:

1. Whappo Grande 21" sub woofer bass cabinet.
2. El Whappo bass cabinet.
3. Tri 210L bass cabinet.
4. Tri 112L bass cabinet.
5. Tri 115L bass cabinet.

My Ampeg is crying, "Where's the Cab's". I think this powerhouse head could easily handle a whole nother round of these cabs.

The only thing I can say is try out these cabs as soon as you get a chance. And if any of you out there have these baby's, congradulations. They are so sweet. I can hardly stand the wait to hear my new bass through this system.

Anybody have Accugroove's out there?

Paul,

Your killin' me. I'm very curious to hear the Tri 210 and the Tri 112 & 115.

There aren't any Accugroove dealers in NZ, but I'm going to visit Greensquare Music next time I get to Sydney and check them out.

What can you tell us about your impressions- differences between the different cabs?

Good Grief Paulo. Are you tryin' to out-bass Bootsie?!?!? No wait. I know. You been hangin' out with Myron Dove?!?!? I think you could be the epicenter of a tsunamui that would wipe out L.A.

Hi Toby!

Well, these things are so clean sounding and yet very subtle. So it's hard to explain but it's almost like they have a dirty filter installed or something which we know there is no such thing but I now know the difference between good and bad speakers.

Now I realize that speakers can be to noisy. Maybe it's there cones but it's hard to explain.

As far as the difference in the cabs themselves, I think you just need to judge what sizes you need. I went all out for it because I could. So I wanted to be able to do some cranking and get some good sounds. But the nice thing about these is that the punch is there at low volume. And that's what I like.

The Grande sub woofer is a 21" speaker and it's really neat in that it's very subtle. It is a sub which explains that it isn't putting out any high ranges. It just puts this thick subtle low that is incredible. I would leave it up to you to find the specs and read them. But as all I can say is, YES, you can believe them.

And this is to Alembic Doctor, I've always said, When you buy a Ferrari you don't just get the tires! what?LOL

Aloha buddies, patient paul
