Short Scale Alembic query

I just bought a 1998 Alembic Epic and am having great difficulties playing it, with my small hands. I might trade this in for short scale, if possible. Those are the only 'stock' Alembics that have a short scale neck. You can also order an Alembic through any of the dealers with the scale length you prefer: standard long scale, medium, short or extra long .
