Mica and family;

Congratulations. My wife and I had our first child on 6-5-07, so I may have a bit of a fresh perspective on what you are experiencing. Its wonderful, but exhausting. Best of luck to all.

Congrats Mica and Bill (and Grandma and Grandpa too!)! But really now--another new model that starts with "E"??? At least this one doesn't have to be serialized. Will be watching the staff pages for photos.

Looks like he is thinking: what will be the first Alembic bass I design?

All the best to all of you, including grandma and grandpa of course.

I've just checked the stats. At 9lb 11oz, erik's birthweight was exactly the same as the combined weight of my eldest daughter (1 month early - 5lb 9oz) and my son (2 months early - 4lb 2oz!).

Sincere congratulations from our household to yours.
May Erik bring years and years of happiness into your home and hearts (not like it was missing or anything like that) :-)

Our one child (now 10) has fortunately done that for us.

Congrats to the Clan, Mica, Bill, Ron and Susan!

My boy is 14, and the above posters are correct, they do grow up fast! Mine is buggin me for a PA all the time...I think Eric might have better luck when he's that age (Grampa, can we build a PA?).

And for that matter, how does this Custom creation sound? Bet it screams hee hee hee

Congrats nonetheless!

Thanks, Peter, he is awfully handsome and I love that Ukrainian blouse too. But I had to share Erik's latest shirt today:

Erik Alembic Shirt

So far he seems to be leaning toward being a drummer. The way he kicks all the time I'd say a double kick drum! Finger wiggling may point to piano playing or maybe even one of the stringed instruments we make here.

Thanks again for the kind words, all.

Mica,
He is growing fast. Since Erik has leanings towards percussion does this mean Alembic will start looking into making a new line of drum kits? :-)

Why not let Erik inspire an Alembic version of the Chapman Bass stick so that the bottom can rule over the Top" for a change. That covers his desire for percussive sounds. What a thought, get rid of the overplaying drummer. Next boot out the EVH clone. At his point, I'm sure his bottom is going to rule anyway until he talks and walks, then he will really tell his parents what he thinks! Get sleep Mica, it is a very valuable commodity.
