Been quite awhile since I posted, but I had to see if anyone else saw this one:

What a beauty! I was so very tempted, and could have snagged it! If I was not in the process of pulling out of debt (and doing a pretty good job at it) I would have pulled the trigger. Was certainly a tough one to pass up though.

I saw this one too. Unfortunately AFTER it closed. I would have definately pulled the trigger! It was just the type of thing I go for. It had all the right stuff. Michael Delacerda

Speaking of those pickups......I noticed that this one has a screw through the middle of the hum cancellor. I would think that this would render that unit useless. If that is so, one would have to settle for a black one since that material is no longer available. Maybe Alembic did that originally. I would feel ok about that. I have seen others this way too. On all of the real early ones I have, that is where the batteries are located. The hum cancellor is inside the instrument. Could be that on the early ones with the dummy pickup on the front, that they were actually screwed in place instead of glued. Anyone over there remember?

It's back up for sale again! Here's someone's opportunity to write to Mr. PoWhiteBoy and tell him how much you'd like to own his bass!

If I didn't play longer scales I'd buy it myself. I'll still be biased and hope it goes to someone here at the club anyway...

I'm not surprised after seeing the feedback that the high bidder had. I e-mailed the seller right after it closed and told him to let me know if it fell through, which he obviously decided against. Too bad. Did it have a BIN at first again??
