Alembic pickups + filter on Warmoth J...

Author Message edmouk Junior Username: edmouk Post Number: 14 Registered: 7-2007 Posted on Thursday, August 23, 2007 - 3:19 am:    Hi everyone I own a splendid Warmoth Jazzbass with active electronics and Bartolini pickups. The bass frequencies are good but the trebbles are quite poor - Not very suitable for slap style (though it sounds great played unplugged). I was wondering if replacing the pickups + electronics by a pair of Alembic pickups + filter would help to improve the general tonal sound of my Warmoth. Would the sound be clearer ? Has anyone here ever replaced his Jazzbass electronics with an Alembic set ? Is it worth the money ? Thanks for your replies. I fitted the 2x vol, bass & treble controls.
