Congratulations, Charles, on having your Masterpiece selected for COTM! It's a stunning and truly exceptional Alembic, and an inspiration!

Your neck -and the neck of "Thunder and Lightning" made an impression on me, and certainly were influential in my selecting my neck laminates on my new custom 6-string... especially the outer Mahogany neck laminates.

Congratulations again on an incredibly unique and stunning masterpiece, and on it receiving well-deserved recognition as the COTM!

One of my all time favorites- awesome stuff Charles. I enjoyed your Alembic rack photo essay as well. Incredible setup for an incredible bass.

Wow! indeed. The blackened hardware sets off the front coco-bolo perfectly as does the mahogany based neck. Very nice indeed.

Thanks, guys. Alembic deserves all the congratulations, though. They're the ones who made it happen. All I had to do was spend money and pester people! :-)

Beautiful. Your bass has me thinking about black hardware on mine.

My guitard (Hi, Justin!) told me tonight he's in love with your bass, so congrats from us both.
I'll bring him into the fold yet!

I've actually had the pleasure of playing this baby through my rig (F1-X, SF-2, Crown K2 and 8x10 SVT) and it has an amazing amount guts to it. Starting in the upper register and working my way down came very close to blowing some drivers! Looks, tone and excellent playability! Charles bugged the hell out of them on this one to get it right for him. Cheers Charles!!
