The Japanese Fernandes site has a catalog feature which enables one to look into the company's past via catalog scans from 1973 to 1985. And itá actually very cool to see what they used to copy and how they incorporated many features into fender copy guitars that took fender 20 surplus years to do so themselves.

The 1985 catalog also has a lot of unnoficial signature models which look really convincing. Anyway, here's a look at their Alembic copies from the 1980 catalog.

Here's an attempt to put Alembic style electronics in Fender style instruments. The result is not really up to par looks waise. (And what's the deal with the paddle shaped bass?)

The "strat-like" guitar in the third link is a Masterhand, just like mine, except I had the Fernandes guts torn out and replaced with Alembic and other stuff as described in the thread. The woodwork on these guitars is quite nice. Not Alembic standards, but pretty darn good.

Juggernaut you are one sick puppy, because "FAG" stood for "Fernandes Alembic Guitar"

Don't you realise that by impliying that it stood for something else that you're actually saying "Only fags played that kind of guitar" with which you also mean Alembic guitars themselves?

Boy, you're not making yourself too popular here...
