Hope this isn't presumptuous, but I have a bit of information that some of our members may want to know, so I'm passing it along.

A couple of years ago, a lot of good members of the club helped a really great woman find a bass for someone that I now know is a really great man. Here's a link to the thread http://alembic.com/club/messages/395/18804.html

Over the past month or so, Tony (the lucky guy) and I got together through the club and I sold him an Alembicized Ric that I bought a year or so ago. The day I sent it to him, Janey (the woman) and their daughter were in a bad car crash.

They are OK (kind of), but Janey seems to have taken the worst of it (except for the car, which was really smashed, as I understand it). I'm pretty sure she is going to be OK, but think she hurt her previously injured back pretty badly and is in a lot of pain.

If I were a member of the club I'd want to know about this, as we were all taken with what Janey did and, as I said, Tony actually seems to be the kind of guy who deserves someone as good as Janey. I know there are a lot of spiritual people in the club and thought I'd pass along the information for anyone who wants to say a prayer, or do anything else that good spiritual people do when concerned about another person. I'll be doing that, as well as giving Janey a shout, like:

Hey, Janey, hope you're feeling better soon!

I just asked the Powers of the Universe to share and spread the happiness of my birthday over them and especially Janey in the way of healing.

And bless you also dw for your considerations.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. Thank you DW for EVERYTHING.

I don't know what else to say, other than THANK YOU to you all.

Having seen my wife and daughter being taken away in an ambulance has a way of putting things in prospective.

Jenny (my 16 year old) has almost fully recovered. Janey apparently has some serious spinal or neck injuries. She is in a brace and in a lot of pain. It's going to be one heck of a week. I promise to keep you posted.

THANKS again for all the prayers and well wishes.

When this is all over, I'll get some pictures of my newly acquired AlemRic. A HUGE thank you to DW for letting it go and for this post. I am forever indebted.
