Hey Mica- Do y'all recommend (strongly or otherwise) that Alembic rackmount gear be in a certain type of case when traveling as "checked baggage"? I'll be potentially taking an F1-X and a DS-5 with me to Santa Fe and need to get a case for them (the Pro Tech bags won't cut it). I'm trying to decide if it's necessary to upgrade to a shock-mount rack. Thanks! C-Ya..............wayne | ||

Shockmounted racks are sure nice, but they are usually much more expensive. Any good quality rack will work fine (we've got a nice wooden one from Bag End that we LOVE). We can get an ATA approved rack from the same gentleman that made your flight case if you want a matched set. Maybe we can get the same lock installed on each. | ||
