It's been a long time since I've been on here after a long hiatus combined with an economic downturn that saw me selling a lot of my gear...but the Alembic wasn't going anywhere. I've gotten the bug to play it again (don't ask why I haven't been), but I thought I might need to change the battery after 2.5 years. I unscrewed the back plate and took the battery out of its compartment and someone wrote on it "I like your bass" with a Sharpie. I ordered the bass in December '04 and recieved it in May of '05 -- it's the first set neck balance-K -- and so it was the stock battery. How cool is that? Anyone else notice a note written on the battery of their new Alembic? |

That must have been uplifting Glad you were able to retain the Alembic and get inspired again John! Play it healthy! Art |

From the battery department, I took delivery of my Europa w/ Series I electronics back in March of 2003. I still have yet to change the batteries. Given that I always run the bass off the DS-5R, it's probably not that surprising but I guess it might make sense to replace them in the near future. Bones |
