I'm giddy like an idiot over here. After a few phone calls with Susan I finally made up my mind and I pulled the trigger on Alembic #2 for me.

It will be as follows:

Rogue 5 string
35" scale
Maple neck w/ 2 purpleheart pinstripes and 1 ebony pinstripe
Ebony fretboard
Comfort taper
Fretted
No inlays (naked fretboard)
Blue side LEDs
Orion style peghead w/ no bevel
5A quilted Maple top
No back laminate
Clear finish
silver logo and script
Standard bridge block and tail piece
Brass backplates
Brass and gold hardware where applicable
Signature electronics

Yea me. This along with the John Paul Jones Custom that I bought ~3 years ago.

If the wait doesn't kill me I'm going to be one happy camper when it's delivered. :-)

Congrats! I can tell you from experience that the combination of 35 inch scale, the Ebony neck laminate, and the Maple top will give you a wonderful sound with an impressive bottom end and sustain.

I'd recommend considering adding a set of bass & treble controls to the mix... I just got a Signature Deluxe last month -with an additional pair of (master) bass & treble controls... and it makes a HUGE difference in the overall tonal versatility and flexibility. Upgrading to 3-position Qs is worthwhile, as well.

Congrats again, I look forward to seeing it!

Hi Brian,

I second Mark's bass/treble controls. If you can afford them or substitute the side Led's or something you will be way better off!.

Nice bass though, keep pluggin.

Aloha, Paul
