Im thinking of buying this bass, Give me your thoughts of the bass, Feed back would be nice!

Im sure others think differently, but this is kind of a hard call, you dont see too many series basses come up for sale, and the price is ALMOST reasonable considering that it has been around the block more than a few times, probably needs updated electronics, a fretjob, and god knows what else.

I guess you need to ask yourself if your comfortable paying that price for a bass that sounds like it may need some work, and a trip back to Alembic to have that done. If you dont mind doing that than go for it.

I personally wouldnt want to deal with the possibility of having to ship a bass back out to have work done it. Iwould wait and spend more on something that wouldnt need to be worked on right away.

Looks clean & unused I'd go for it if i were you plus its vintage!......but try to talk him down a bit!

yeah, thats true. I didnt mean to sound like an alarmist. It does look very clean, but I was just going by the sellers comments regarding the fret wear and usage.

Anyway, after looking at the posting again, it really does sound like a fair deal. But I would try to talk him down a bit.

Always barter..if he is desparate to sell the bass he will drop the price
