Hi Susan, I hope you read this message. I have been reading this web site and it's fantastic, the amount of effort you have put into telling the story of Alembic. It makes great reading and it's even more valuable coming fstraight from the horse's mouth. Thank you. I have a book from years ago, Donald Brosnac's book on making electric guitars. He had a picture of a six-string guitar made for Dicky Betts, with a scroll cutaway (like on a mandolin) and "Richard Betts" inlaid on the fretboard. I wonder if you have more information about this guitar, like the wood, electronics, scale length, etc, and if you had any pictures that would be great too. Best regards, Andy |

Hi Andy, welcome to the board! Susan had this to say in about that guitar in a previous thread: "Richard Betts 6 string custom Series from 70's with 1" high Richard Betts inlaid up the fingerboard in mother of pearl, heart shaped peghead with sterling nails & F2B Preamp " |

There was an article in "Vintage Guitar" magazine about this guitar a couple of years ago. There were a couple of photos with the article, too. |
