This kid is really good, and playing a 6 string Alembic Epic or Orion. I can't tell as I am a Guitar player. If only I could have done as well at that age, and had someone to buy me that sweet Axe!

I'm not sure it's either one - looks like a non-Alembic p/up to me. But still much nicer than what I had at that age (& better than I can play at this age!)

I checked back through the comments -- here's the kid's description of the bass in his own words:

"I got this one on ebay. That's where I get most of them :-). It's a 1990 Alembic Distillate with aftermarket active Bartolini's. It probably wasn't custom ordered as the Distillate is Alembics cheaper model (but it's still pretty nice ;). It seems like everything has come across ebay at one time or another, just keep you eyes open if you are looking. If you see one and you want it, get it because lefty 6's are a sort of rarity.
