Wow Ezra, congratulations on a stunning custom guitar. Taking a Skylark to new heights!

WOW indeed! There are so many excellent custom features to this guitar! I really like the look of the Bird of Prey tailpiece with the ebony shim, especially in the nickel finish. More food for thought ;-)

Congratulations Ezra.

You just got to appreciate how much care Alembic take in the building of their basses and guitars.
The woodworking is fantastic, the finish is superb, the wiring on the electronics all neatly tie wrapped and thoughtfully set out, I mean if I was a lottery winner of vast amounts I would have major retail therapy at their factory.
I am biased...there is only Alembic the rest are poor imitations
Ezra..that is an absolutley beautiful guitar and I can only guess in my head how it sounds.

Ezra:

I fell in love with this guitar when I first saw it in progress at the shop. Well deserved COTM. Enjoy it (I know that you will).

The only thing is this guitar's baody is based on a skylark, and is therefore not a Skylark. I would make it a new body option and change the name to something similar to a the animal. Maybe just a Lark or Larken, something of the sort.

I've never been a fan of tail peices but i must say, this one is very nice.

The vermillion is nice as well. A nice deep red/brown.

Overall, a very nice guitar, visual-wise. I'd like to here it played

I love this guitar. I really like the ebony veneers between the neck and the body. I also really like the omega cut without the little tails extending out past the body.

Congrats!!

The effects circuit blend control is a nice feature! I also really like the look of the back with the Vermilion body and the Maple, Vermilion, and Ebony neck!

Thanks so much for all the kind words and thank you Mica for putting together such a thoughtful selection of images and words. It is an honor to have an instrument as a featured custom. This guitar is truly unbelievable both in terms of sound and visual beauty. It has exceeded all of my expectations. Thanks again to everyone who contributed to this project and I hope to share some audio with everyone sometime soon...
