Alembic guitar skylark question

Couple questions: * what strings are the ideal for this. I was thinking DR 10s, or D'Addario Chrome Flatwound Jazz Light (11s). What do y'all think? * on electronics, which cavity do I open to tweak the pots. I heard there are pots to tweak on the inside, but am not sure what these do. Thanks! I love my Alembic.
