Alright Todd!
Way to score! You've got a beauty on your hands. Treat her sweet and she will sing sweetly.

How does Buckeye Burl influence tone?

Buckeye burl is a very light wood (think cork, or balsa), and would have very little effect on tone.

Just imagine this one with continous wood on the pickups, like "The Lion's Roar"....
...time to water proof the keyboard... or get a bib.

Hi guys!

Thank you all very much for your kind words.

What an honor this is to have my instrument chosen as a featured custom. Honestly, it continues to amaze me every time I pick it up. For the most part, the band I'm with just plays good old rock and roll, and the tone from this bass is phenomenal. I haven't taken my Tobias or Specor basses out of the cases since receiving it, and to be honest I don't see it happeneing for a long time, if ever :-) Alembic completely blew my expectations out of the water with this beauty!

Thanks again and best wishes to all,

Todd

Very nice. I love the black mop inlays. If my custom had been fretted it would have included them for sure.

Todd..Stunning bass no matter what you play and I guess the Tobias and Spector fade to insignificance to it.
Enjoy!!!!!
