well i unscrewed the pickgaurd last nite and there it was a vintage(era) 1980"s 9 volt battery complete with green acid all over the termilinals,so i was cleaning it with qtips and pepsi(i didnt have no coke)and the black wire broke,so i will solder it all back together and let ya'll know what happens.thanks for the diaogram(fc spoiler),it was right on the money.its looks like a few more wire could be touched up with some solder also,so its just as well that it all came apart.thanks again.

If this is a standard Strat and blaster, the battery should fit in the cavity below the blaster. This is where the strat originally had a recessed 1/4" input. The battery fits in there and the blaster goes over it. At least that's how it mounted in my strat when I had it on the guitar.

yeah thats where i thought it was at,but theres no room,i going to look to see if there is a way to route it threw to the bottom side and use the back plate as a cover, while im at it i may replace the pickgaurd and knobs,to mabee pearloid white with black or white pearl knobs, and mabee a 5 way switch, mabee, mabee not.

hot dog!!!! well all i ended up having to do was replace the battery terminal,no soldering at all, just a few twists of the connecter, bolt put it all back together,6 new strings later(ghs 11--50's)this old fiddle still has life in it.the ambelic boosts mabee 10+db's,i got to keep reminding myself that this switch is 1970's technology and not to expect too much.but so far --no nosie and no humming.thanks again fc-spoiler,i left the battery in under the pickgaurd for now,you can run it to the underside, but you would have to use only 2 springs out on the edge to get the battery to fit,or go to a hardtail bridge, right now im happy the thing still plays, its like having a new guitar.

You’re very welcome, that's what this club is all about ;-)

"new" guitarz are always fun, I had a blast when I installed Alembic guts in my Fender Bass.
Also it's nice you're enjoying (or going to enjoy) this priceless reminder of your Brother.
Cheerz!
