Hi, I'm looking for a Brown bass but i thought I'd ask these questions: How often does a used one show up on the market? How much have they been running recently? I live in a dry climate. Is there any reason for me to be concerned because of the natural finish? Thanks. |

I have not seen Brown Basses show up very often. For price I would expect them to go for more a little less than a Signature Deluxe. The listed used price a few years ago at Bass Central was around $3600. I would not expect any issues from the dry climate as the oil finish that Alembic uses is polymerized. This means it should not evaporate and dry out like tung oil or linseed oil. The only care instructions are to occasionally paste wax it. Keith |

The only ones that I've seen recently were 2007s with LEDs and have been going for 6-7k. A good price I suppose, but out of my range. Thanks on the info on the oil finish Keith. -devon |

Given the max discount allowed of 25% and the price list cost of $8900.00 The best price for a new Brown Bass would be $6675.00. So the range you gave sounds like good prices for a new one. Keith |

Oh my I didn't realize they were used. All I can say are those words made famous by Paul TBO, "There will always be another" and to watch e-bay. |
