Just wondering after looking at all those superb instruments being made in the factory to customer thread, what glue is used to adhere the wings to the neck when the instruments are in the clamps? |

A board search finds that a fellow club member stated five years ago that it was "Alphetic resin i.e. white glue". |

I thought the glue was something Ron took from Middle Earth when he was Gandalf's apprentice |

Since it's wood-related, I'm thinking Galadriel or Thranduil... Ken (TEO) |

I guess I was thinking it was something exotic myself, but then I remembered woodworking 101 -- if the joints to be glued are prepared properly, match flawlessly and are properly held together while the glue dries -- regular, old woodworking glues have no trouble forming a joint that's stronger than the surrounding wood. Alembic just does fantastic woodwork. |
