I've finished recording bass parts for my band's debut album. I was fortunate to be able to use 2 borrowed Alembics, thanks to the kindness of my 2 friends. I used an Essence 5 and, on one song, an Epic 4. The sound of both of them got RAVE reviews from the sound engineer and the studio owner! BTW - it's one of the best and most renowned studios in Poland... Here are some pics: (the MarkBass head wasn't used) And me, with both Alembics and my Malinek fretless :-) Oh yes, the album will feature some nice bass sounds (shame about the playing though, lol)! |

Thanks! And well, it won't me a debut album for me (or for any of the band members for that matter) but a debut album for this particular band - and the most meticulously prepared album I've ever recorded. Oh, and I wouldn't have been myself if I hadn't pictured the 2 beauties ;-) Studio: The Essence Studio: The Epic Magic Artefacts Epic Win Liquid The Conehead Head to Head The Essence of Alembic 1 The Essence of Alembic 2 The Hidden Flame And yes - they do sound at least as beautiful as they look! Congratulations Jarek. I am sure it was your playing that got the rave reviews also. I hope that everything goes well for you from now on. Carl |
