HI, MY first ALEMBIC,a 1989 persuader with highly figured walnut.I bought this mint bass about 2 months ago on ebay. It had the original tuners as well as a new set of gold gotohs.Mica was very helpful on a new set of electronics for it, dead quiet and sound great !I changed the straplocks to gold.I had located a good bit of fossilized woolly mammoth ivory and requested Roger at THG knobs to make top hats in burl walnut with ebony and ivory ying yang inlays with a clear coat dome caps.Roger does fantastic work! Like mica he is good people.I love this bass, my fist Alembic but not my last,BILLY BASSALEMBICALEMBIC2

What really looks great is the wood grain under the tailpiece.
It looks like the form of the tailpiece is continued in the wood grain. Great!
