Hi
Does anybody use the kit PU+ preamp PJ-AE1 ?
I've seen one for sale in his box, not too expensive. I think it is discontinued. Any Info ?

they aren't discontinued, you have to click on the link that says "the products" on the bottom of alembic's homepage, select pickups, and then you can see all they bass pickups that they make, where did you see it at?

The online Alembic Store shows only JZ and AXY kits.

I don't see how you can go wrong, especially if the price is good. I've got just the P-Bass Activators in a Fender Telecaster Bass, you can see and hear it here in this thread.

Paul,plays great,it's the fourth fretless I've had,82 Ibenese Musician,72 Fender Jazz,90's Jazz Plus,this outplays them all.
The mwah is BIG,I'm not using it much since I bought a 81 S2

Mike - If I didn't already have a fretless (see pics at this thread http://alembic.com/club/messages/393/57930.html?1226541253) I might be able to justify the cost (price isn't bad) but the additional shipping charge would hurt.

Unfortunatly the mwah factor on my current bass is not as big as I would like.....

peace!

Thank you for the advices.
I installed this kit (I found it on the french website "audiofanzine") on a Korean neckthru Spector.
The PU are HiFi, I dont like so much the tone filter, I would prefer bass and treble separate controls.
Anyway the sound quality of this bass have increased dramatically.
