I'm greatly enjoying my new Purpleheart Rogue 5 but noticed that my Epic 4 has a much hotter output. The Epic clips my preamp section on my SWR SM400 waaaay easier than the Rogue. As a matter of fact,I find it hard to make the preamp clip at all with the Rogue. Why is that?I sure get all the volume and tone I need so no complaints there.I like the fact that I can get such a huge sound and not work my amp and speaker's so much.It has standard Rogue electronics by the way.
Thanks for any input on this matter.

Dave,

It might be that the trimpots on your Epic are turned up, while the Rogue ones are probably somewhere in the middle. You can locate your trimpots fairly easily, just remove the back plate and locate 2 little blue squarish components with a white round top which can be turned with a screwdriver . Play around with it and set it to your ideal output.

Ahh,so I see.I do enjoy this board. It helps me out everytime. Thanks Valentino.I knew that,I just needed somebody to remind me.I may just leave it be since I've had no complaints so far from any sound tech's.Nothing but compliments.
