As much as I love her, I got to let her go. She needs loving and play time, which I do not provide. I have no more need for a fretless. This bass does it all...but all of you guys already know that.

This is the link from Elderly Instruments, with full pictures. I bought it from them approx. 2 years ago. I have played it a total of 15 times and it has never left my home. Well cared for.

Please contact me if interested.

I'm curious about the electronics; they appear to be a non-standard configuration. Just curious-- not saying there's anything wrong with it.

Do you have any additional information about the setup?

oh my god - Brent are you sure???
I regret getting rid of my Exploiter.

Think man THINK! Yeah sure its hard times and everyone could use more cash- but fer jiminii crickets sake - that is a beautiful instrument, plus the vintage of it makes it even more valueable.... if not for yourself, maybe a son or daughter?

My apologies for stepping out of line on this, I am certain that you thought long and hard about making this decision but my first thought when I laid eyes on that bass was - "I want it!" I can not afford it so then the next thought was, "If I had it, it would never leave me, until I passed and then my son would inherit it."

be well - good luck

Regarding the electronics, I am unaware if they are non-standard.

Mike1762 - That is the add from when it was listed 2 years ago. I bought it from Elderly Instruments. I copied the add for everyone's benefit as the pictures are quite good.

I do know that I am the 3rd owner of the instrument. THe second owner, from who I bought her told me this is exactly how it was when he received it.

pauldo - I have thought about this for a long time. I cannot justify keeping her when I do not play her. That, to me is disrespectful to the instrument and Alembic. These basses are meant to be more than just keep sakes in my mind. She needs a home where she can sing.

This bass was previously discussed here. The controls are probably a superfilter for each pickup.
