It is difficult to find pre-amp configurations on the web, yet alone F-1x and F-2B...

Anyway, I wanted to rig the DS-R5, F-1X and the famous F-2B all in one integrated sound tuning monster...

Here's my the recipe...

Part-1 (Cable 1)
I have an Alembic DS-5R rack, which connects to my bass via XLR cable...

Part-2 (Cable 2)
On the DS-5R rack console, I connect a standard 1/4 cable -- to the DS-5R labeled "BASS" port, and the other 1/4" jack-end, to the F-2B labeled "1" port(on the front of the F-2B Pre-amp).

Part-3 (Cable 3)
From the back of F-1X, connect a third standard 1/4" cable to the labeled "Return" port, and connect other end; to the back of the F-2B labeled "M" port.

Part-4 (Cable 4)
From the back of the F-1X, insert the forth 1/4" cable, to the labeled "Full Range" port, and the other end of the cable, to speaker "IN" port...

The sound is wonderful, and invigorating. I am very pleased with having all options to an infinite of wonderful sounds... hot, locked and in the pocket!

Any other ideas, I would love to read them...

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

Why not run stereo? Each pickup could have it's own channel of the f2b. It would be only 1 more cable from the ds5r to the ch.2 f2b input!

I'm just left wondering how you have a piece of Behringer gear with all that other stuff. That's like having a Ferarri and sticking a Yugo transmission in it.

Charles, Question:

FROM THE FRONT:

Add a 1/4" cable from DS-5R (Treble Port or Bass Port...) to F-2B (Port 2)?

Thanks.

Yes. Set the ds5r to stereo, and run bass to 1 channel and treble to another. That way, each pickup has it's own volume, bass and treble. So you can add a little more thump to the bridge p/u without the neck p/u getting too boomy, or even more drastic differences.

This is why I love this site with all my heart.

It's all about love and charity people... Nothing and I mean nothing warms the heart and revitalized the soul, than sharing with wonderful people

Charles, I ran it through as you said, and it just opened many other options.

Thank you man.
