Keavin, I totally N-V you with such a pre-historic Rock of the best Bass in the World. Man, if I own such a piece, I would have it cased in glass with lasers alarm triggers. What a lucky guy you are -- to behold such a gem which hands who created, are now in the the hands of God. I believe your bass is worth more than all newer basses period! HOLD ON TO IT! What newer basses you asked? My answer -- Any and all UP-DATED (New) Alembics -- and yes, including the Infamous "Dragon Breath" dawned by the Great "Stan the Man", Mr. Stanley Clarke. Your bass embodies the hope and dreams of great risks of failure, but in the end won the hearts of the most talented musicians in the world. Yeah, you have something only the owner(s) of Alembic #1 through #11 can rival. However, after that, the value of yours is the King of the hill. Enjoy Brotha MAN and our memory, of you goes down through history too! You have Alembic #12. Dam, that's a mouth full. Peace... |

No... Thank you Sir. Like I said, HOLD ON TO IT for it is very valuable bass and it predates everything there where before and after... Also, I was not surprised one bit, of Stanley loving your rare diamond. Nobody, and I mean, nobody can deny the legacy you own. Let me put it to you this way... Can you imagine owning a Fender Strat #12, and the value it would be worth? O-KAY.... The Alembic Dragon Breath was Alembic number -- what? -- Number umteen? HAHAAAHA AAAAAA! I am proud of you man, keep it, for you have a vintage Lamborghini/Bentley/Rose Royce all in one. If I had a choice between the Famous Dragon Breath and your #12... (Which is a great comparison in most peoples ocular mentality) I would still go for #12. Why? You can't duplicate the whole era in which #12 was built. Imagine all the people from the early days at Alembic making your #12... That's like having an original - original.(You don't hear me...) LOL! The Dragon Breath -- yeah, it's an awesome bass, but it don't have history. It's only a trophy from a know successful company, to a successful musician. It's the cream, but not the crop in my eyes. Alembic #12 was made when owners at Alembic was hungry for change and message was not yet known to the world. It was the introduction... the hello world... the first whisper of change. Yeah, Stanley knows what you have, and so do we. Peace. |
