Details are in the News and Announcements section.

Sublime color in the Bloodwood top and matching peghead veneers. Cool little blade switch cover that's of course made right here.

$6599 for the base model (compare to $12500 for the original Tribute guitar).

I'me really liking this idea of creating kind of an Epic version of these guitars. It should help alot of guitarists become Alembic owners which can only benefit music. If it hadn't been for the 'cheaper' epic, I probably wouldn't have become an Alembic player as the series and signature models were way beyond my means in '96.

And, as Dave says - both new models look great. I've pointed these threads out to my guitarists ;-)

Hi Jacko, I wonder if Alembic would want to create a "very cheap" version of any of their instruments. The Orion is the cheapest guitar in the range and the one I have and I'd find it hard to see how that model could be trimmed down to a more affordable price than $4800 US.

All their guitars get the same level of attention so labour cost would still be a limiting factor even with different material specifications i would presume.

I think they will always be pricey and those that want to buy into that quality will have to find a way to fund it or find a used bargain like I did with that orion.. well all of my alembics, come to think of it.

I'm just concerned about how I'm gonna fund my desire for a custom guitar or bass.

You and me both Jazzy. It least I have a year longer than you to save;-)

In a way, it's comforting to think that Alembic's 'entry level' instruments are still way ahead of most other manufacturers in terms of quality and craftsmanship.

Hahaha, but you do realise, that extra year longer may push the price of an ebony neck laminate out of your budget my friend hahahaha.

Yeah a cheap Alembic is all I could get. I wonder how long it will take for me to come with a reason to get one of those that cost the same as an entry level car...So I can play it in a bar.

Is the body carve on these still based on my guitar?

There's no carved top on the Stage version - that's one of the ways we can trim the price down so much. But the template for the shape is the same - version 6, and I'm pretty sure your guitar was the first one that used that version.
