New (to me) Alembic On The Way!

It's a 1989 Elan Plus. The plus basically means it is really a Europa. It has Europa electronics and the 11 piece neck and Europa Body style. I actually have Valentino to thank because he sent the seller to the club and thats how he got ahold of me. A great piece of straight-grained top wood. Is it coco bolo? It has those dark orange-red to brown colours. I'd love to own an Alembic too - but uni isn't cheap! I'd probably start with an Elan, or a Europa for the neck-thru sound. I think the top is Macassar Ebony. That bass will not lack for highs with its Maple back. It is a Macassar Ebony top and Maple body bass.
